Film Foundations: Techniques, Theory and History
This course introduces basic knowledge of filmmaking and film criticism. The curriculum includes an intensive study of film techniques, as well as a detailed examination of one artistic movement in world cinema (to be selected by instructor). Although the course is a core requirement for English students enrolled in the Rhetoric and Media Studies program, it is open to all students interested in the making and/or the appreciation of film art.
