Gender History in Canada

This course focuses on gender in the history of Canada from the early colonial period through the twentieth century exploring when, how, and why the social construction of gender changes over time. Students will hone their skills of historical interpretation by analysing and discussing primary and secondary sources, using gender theory concepts. (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both HIST-4216EL and HIST-4215EL.
