Indigenous in the City: Urban Indigenous In Canada
This course introduces Urban Indigenous Studies in Canada. Providing a survey of topics including, identity politics, multi-sectoral social service delivery, poverty and homelessness, economic success, and urban Indigenous self-government, the course takes an interdisciplinary and intercultural approach to questions of decolonization and reconciliation in a selection of cities in Canada. PREREQ: 18 university credits (Lec/Sem 3) cr 3.
