Canadian Federalism and Constitutionalism
This course examines the impact of judicial decisions on the development of Canadian federalism and on the constitution, with a focus on the elements that relate to the federal-provincial relationship. Decisions of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council and the Supreme Court of Canada are discussed, as is the increasing importance of judicial review in Canadian politics.(Students may not retain credit for JURI 4602, POLI 4725E and POLI 4726.)
