Navigation and River Rescue
This course will provide students with navigational and rescue skills in remote areas either on land or water. The course teaches self rescue, for example, triangulation, the rescue/evacuation of clients, the use of specialized equipment for land, GPS or moving water, Z pulley systems and Telfa lower. Students are eligible for Level I Swift Water Rescue Technician. PREREQ: minimum of 150 km of logged canoe tripping, First Aid, and CPR certification or permission of the school. (exp 3) cr 1.5.
