Health Psychology
This course examines the psychological influences that affect why some people stay healthy and others get ill. The course also explores the interrelationships among behavioural, emotional, cognitive, social, and biological factors that contribute to both wellness and illness. Evidence-based models related to maintaining health and avoiding disease, as well as coping and rehabilitation, are considered. PREREQ: PSYC 1105 and 6 additional PSYC credits. (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both PSYC 3556 and PHED 1006.
