Oncology for Radiation Therapy I
This course is the first of two integrated courses that provide an in-depth study of the major adult and paediatric oncological disease sites. Topics include clinical signs, symptoms, epidemiology, etiology, screening and prevention, routes of spread, pathology, the staging system, diagnostic and staging workup, prognostic factors, decision making skills for treatment options, and management approaches for specific tumour sites. The course is delivered by The Michener Institute of Education at UHN. PREREQ: Successful completion of all Year 2 courses in the Radiation Therapy Program. Successful completion of all mandatory health and safety requirements as identified by the program and all hospital-mandated prerequisites. The course is only available to students enrolled in the joint Michener/黑料吃瓜不打烊 Radiation Therapy program. (lec 3, tut 1.5) cr 3
