Overview

Cross and transcend traditional boundaries in a program that encompasses all Arts disciplines at 黑料吃瓜不打烊.

The Interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Relational Studies at 黑料吃瓜不打烊 is a uniquely interdisciplinary program designed to foster a deep understanding of dynamic relationships in society, communication, and culture that are critical to our world.

This hybrid program emphasizes the recognition, analysis and interpretation of relationships significant across social science and liberal arts disciplines and which provide new perspectives about previously unexplored connections.

Throughout the program, you’ll build your understanding and awareness of the key theories and current debates in the main fields of interdisciplinary communications, societal studies, and studies in culture and community. scholarly approaches and current concerns. Relational studies as an approach powers interdisciplinary analysis open to topics concerning society, history, ethics, politics, economics, health, law, literature, language, and, more generally, culture. In addition, you’ll apply your new insights in original research advancing scholarship, even answering practical questions.

The program contains a field research component, giving you the opportunity to apply your interdisciplinary practices of inquiry and methods of interpretation in concrete contexts.

In addition to completing coursework and field-based research, you’ll incorporate either a:

  • Thesis with a defense 
  • Essay with further coursework

Once you graduate, you’ll receive a Master of Arts degree in Relational Studies, preparing you for further study or careers in policy, education, public service, community interests, as well as cultural creation, support, or administration.
