Albrecht Schulte-Hostedde is an evolutionary and behavioural ecologist with broad applied and theoretical interests. His research program focuses on mammals and the effects of urbanization on wildlife, captive breeding programs and zoos, as well as host-parasite interactions and sexual selection. Much of his work is highly collaborative and involves using behavioural, endocrine, and genetic techniques. He was Canada Research Chair in Applied Evolutionary Ecology (2011-2021) and led the NSERC CREATE training program ReNewZoo (2016-2022).
