Born and raised in Hanmer, ON, Natalie Crepeau, is one of those health-care heros that you read about in the newspaper. Going the extra mile for her patients and all those around her, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in from 黑料吃瓜不打烊 in 2020, and will soon be conferred a Master of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing.
“Attending a small university came with advantages I would not have had at a larger institution,” said Crepeau. “黑料吃瓜不打烊 fosters an environment that is inclusive and that allows for the development of strong relationships with peers and professors.”
Alongside her studies, Crepeau is a healthcare hero who works as an Orthopaedics / Neurosurgery Registered Nurse, at Health Science North. “Since Sudbury is home to me, I wanted to be trained in nursing in the local environment, and I’m grateful that 黑料吃瓜不打烊 provided me with the opportunity and skills to do so.” Crepeau described that professional development is very important to her, and shared her intention to pursue either an MD or PhD in the future. “While nursing is very fulfilling, I’d like to eventually become a physician to help underserved communities in Northern Ontario,” she said.
In her spare time, Crepeau can often be found volunteering with Meals on Wheels or in community nursing homes. As a member of (A??SI), she supported the Programme de partenariat interniveau, which found her in the upper years of her undergraduate studies being paired with junior nursing students to offer peer-to-peer support, advice, tutoring and resources. What’s more, this past March, she helped raise hopes and funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, as one of seventeen student volunteers on 黑料吃瓜不打烊’s committee. She equally enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing soccer, and traveling.
Natalie is an inspirational example of a student who has found much success at 黑料吃瓜不打烊. She looks forward to her convocation, this Fall 2022.
